Terms of Use

Last updated: September 9, 2026

1. Acceptance and provider

These terms govern the LUMA website and app, provided by ROGERIO WERNECK COSTA RODRIGUES FILHO, Brazilian company registry (CNPJ) 44.320.052/0001-10, located at SQN 311 Bloco D, nº 509, Asa Norte, Brasília/DF, CEP 70757-040. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use LUMA.

2. What LUMA provides

LUMA helps organize medications and supplements, routines, inventory, reminders, adherence records, and shared care. Some features or channels may be in testing or depend on settings, connectivity, operating systems, third-party availability, or region.

The waitlist and public site content do not guarantee an access date, continuity of an experimental feature, or availability in a specific store.

3. Eligibility and minors

Accounts are intended for people aged 18 or older who can accept these terms. Minors may only be included as dependents managed by a responsible adult who represents that they have authority and act in the minor's best interests. Minors may not operate their own account in this version.

4. Account and security

You must provide accurate information, secure your authentication methods, and report suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for account actions except where caused by LUMA or protected by law.

The LUMA ID is a security identifier. Do not share passwords, verification codes, or deletion links. We may block a session, require authentication again, or suspend access due to risk, fraud, violation of these terms, or legal duties.

5. Health information

You are responsible for checking medications, supplements, dosages, schedules, dependents, and permissions. Do not add another person's data without authorization or a lawful basis.

LUMA is solely an organizational tool for reminders and adherence records concerning medications and supplements entered by the user. LUMA does not provide medical or clinical recommendations, diagnose, prescribe, or recommend medications, supplements, or treatments. It is not a medical device, emergency service, doctor, pharmacist, or substitute for care from a qualified healthcare professional. Do not change or stop treatment based on the app. In an emergency, contact the appropriate local service immediately.

6. Reminders, notifications, and external channels

Reminders may be late or fail because of connectivity, battery, system permissions, or unavailable push, email, WhatsApp, or other providers. Users must maintain appropriate independent ways to follow treatment. App confirmations are operational records and do not prove clinical ingestion.

WhatsApp requires recipient opt-in and verification. The supported person’s Premium access may cover authorized alerts sent to their caregiver about that person; it does not cover the caregiver’s own reminders. A subscription does not replace an accepted care relationship or its permissions.

7. Shared care

A patient may invite caregivers and grant specific permissions. Accepting a relationship allows access only to the authorized scope. The patient may revoke it, and LUMA may interrupt it for security or legal reasons.

Each participant must use information only for authorized care, preserve confidentiality, and not claim to be a health professional without proper qualifications.

8. Artificial intelligence

AI features may help structure information or answer requests but can produce incomplete or incorrect content. Review all output before use. AI features do not diagnose, prescribe, or provide individualized clinical advice and do not replace a qualified professional.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • break laws or another person's rights, privacy, or confidentiality;
  • provide false, misleading, or unauthorized information;
  • access accounts, data, administrative areas, or systems without permission;
  • undermine security or availability, introduce malicious code, automate abuse, or bypass limits;
  • copy, resell, exploit, or reverse-engineer the service except where law permits.

10. Free access, Premium and purchases when available

The free plan allows one active medication. App notifications are the free default channel; water tracking remains free where available. Premium includes additional medications, authorized sharing, child and pet profiles, GLP-1 tracking for people and WhatsApp. Check availability in your version and channel before subscribing. GLP-1 records applications, weight, trends and symptoms you enter; it does not recommend doses or treatment and is not intended for pets.

Purchases are possible only when enabled in the relevant channel. Stripe will process web payments; Android digital purchases will use Google Play Billing. Before confirmation, the offer will show price, currency, billing period, features, renewal and conditions. Reference Brazilian prices are BRL 7.90 monthly and BRL 55 annually; the actual channel and regional offer will be shown before purchase. This page does not initiate or enable a purchase.

When offered and selected, the seven-day trial is optional and limited to one use. Subscription and card registration occur at the start; automatic billing begins after seven days unless you cancel beforehand. Not every purchase includes a trial. Accounts with an active subscription or complimentary access cannot start another trial; prior use is checked even after deletion and a new registration.

Launch complimentary access for accounts existing at the stated cutoff initially lasts three calendar months from rollout. Your account will show its expiration. An additional nine-month extension is planned for a later stage and is not part of the granted term until applied and communicated. Complimentary access requires no card, does not auto-renew and does not generate charges. Purchases and trials are unavailable while it is active.

Subscriptions renew automatically for the disclosed periods until cancelled. Cancellation stops future renewals and preserves access for the paid period, except where the account is deleted or legitimately blocked for security. Use subscription management in the purchase channel. Uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription. We will notify you one day before a trial or complimentary period ends through authorized channels.

You may request a full refund within the seven-day period applicable to distance contracts, calculated from the legally applicable contract or service receipt date. A free trial does not waive mandatory rights related to charges. After that window, cancellation alone does not provide a voluntary refund; all statutory rights remain, including incorrect charges, service defects and mandatory refunds. Contact help@myluma.com.br or the purchase channel; mandatory store rules also apply.

11. Content and intellectual property

LUMA software, marks, identity, text, and materials belong to LUMA or its licensors. These terms grant a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the service. You retain rights in content you provide and grant us only the permission needed to operate requested features.

12. Third-party services

LUMA relies on third parties including app stores, authentication, infrastructure, notifications, email, WhatsApp, and AI. Their terms may also apply. We do not control outside interruptions but will use reasonable efforts to reduce impact and protect data under our responsibility.

13. Suspension, termination, and deletion

After email confirmation, the account becomes inactive and sign-in is blocked. You can cancel the deletion request using the secure link before 29 days have elapsed from confirmation. Processing begins at that deadline and deletion will be completed within 30 days. Account deletion differs from stopping renewal alone: account access is blocked. LUMA requests cancellation of future renewals with the provider before completing identity removal; a failure requires reconciliation and support assistance.

We may suspend or terminate access for security risks, fraud, violation, harm, service discontinuation, or legal duties. Where possible, we will notify you and allow a challenge. Data handling follows the Privacy Policy and law.

14. Availability and liability

We work to keep LUMA available and secure but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for harm caused by incorrect user input, use outside the intended purpose, unavoidable third-party failure, or failure to follow security guidance.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be limited under Brazilian law, including consumer rights.

15. Changes, law, and contact

We may update these terms to reflect changes to the service, law, or providers. Material changes will be communicated through available channels and, where required, we will request acceptance again.

Brazilian law applies, preserving mandatory consumer protections and any forum guaranteed by law. Questions may be sent to help@myluma.com.br.

16. App obtained through an app store

LUMA is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play. When you obtain or update the app from either store, that store's terms and policies also apply.

The store is not a party to these terms. LUMA provides the app and is solely responsible for it, its content, and support, which is available at help@myluma.com.br. Deletion of your account and associated data can be requested inside the app, under Profile → Security, and also at myluma.life/excluir-conta.

The two sections below set out store-specific conditions and apply only to people who obtained LUMA from that store. For that specific use, they prevail in case of conflict.

  • Third-party beneficiary: Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and, upon your acceptance, Apple will have the right to enforce these terms against you.

18. Google Play specific terms

  • Parties: these terms are concluded between you and LUMA only, and not with Google. Google is not responsible for the app or its content.
  • Store terms: when you obtain or update LUMA through Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service and other applicable Google store policies also apply.

  • Purchases and refunds: if paid features are offered in the future, digital purchases will be processed through Google Play Billing as described in section 10, and refund requests will follow Google Play policies, without prejudice to rights guaranteed by Brazilian law.
  • Account and data deletion: you may request deletion of your account and associated data inside the app, under Profile → Security, or through myluma.life/excluir-conta.
